Kickz in Lambeth

Kickz Logo

Fulham FC are proud to be one of the founders of the Kickz programme, a national football scheme aimed at engaging boys and girls in areas of need within our local community. Fulham FC’s programme currently runs in Myatt’s field in the Vassell ward of Lambeth.

The objective of the programme, aimed at those at the most risk of anti-social behaviour, is to use football to engage young people to create safer, stronger and more respectful communities.

Kickz is a football-based scheme that has developed through local partnerships with a number of agencies. It is based around professional club coaches taking football activities to the young people in the community, primarily aged 13 to 18 years, using local facilities, such as parks and ballparks.

The scheme consists primarily of football-based activities over three nights a week throughout the year for including coaching, regular competition and other activities determined by the young people.

Further opportunities from the programme may also include helping to develop local young people by encouraging volunteering and creating routes into training and employment, for example within the field of coaching by providing FA Level One coaching qualifications and gaining experience through voluntary roles.
