STAND OUT from the crowd by volunteering!
Community Champions is a Fulham FC Foundation initiative which aims to increase the number of young people involved in sports based volunteering within the local community.
The Community Champions programme launched in April 2008 and to date has engaged 300 active volunteers between the ages of 14 to 25 years, each volunteering for a minimum of 8 hours.
The young person led project’s primary aim is to use the power of football and sport to encourage young people to make a positive contribution to society through volunteering in a sporting capacity.
The volunteers have to date participated in volunteer opportunities such as: sports coaching, social inclusion activities, disability, event management, and sports administration. The project is funded by the Premier League/ Professional Footballers Association Community Fund.
