Australia will take on Nigeria in an international football match at Craven Cottage on Saturday 17th November (3pm).
For the Qantas Socceroos, (FIFA ranking 52) this match is excellent preparation for the 2010 World Cup qualifying campaign which begins in February 2008, whilst Nigeria, (FIFA ranking 19) under the management of Berti Vogts, are preparing for the African Cup of Nations campaign, which kicks off in Ghana in January 2008.
Acting National Coach Rob Baan has included uncapped goalkeepers Nathan Coe and Adam Federici in the squad while James Wesolowski could also make his national team debut.
"It's a versatile squad which will give the players a chance to continue the preparations for the World Cup qualifiers which start in February 2008," said Baan.
"I have included some new players who deserve their chance to join the squad and it will give the new coach more players with international experience to select from when he takes over."
Meanwhile, Nigeria coach Berti Vogts is looking forward to fielding a strong side despite seeing Portsmouth duo Utaka and Kanu drop out.
Vogts said: "This will be our penultimate game before the African Cup of Nations and having the game in London means we can call upon our strongest squad.
"We expect many thousands of Super Eagles fans will back us for this match."
