Few would contest the claim the Simon Davies has been one of Fulham’s most consistent performers this season. The Wales Captain’s contribution has seen him register a number of assists, not to mention a healthy goals total.
Davies was once again in fine form last weekend, setting up both of Fulham’s goals in their win over Reading and earning praise from fellow team-mate, Aaron Hughes.
"I hadn't played with him before so I didn't realise how good a player he was,” Hughes told fulhamfc.com. “Certainly this season he's arguably been the most consistent player in the team.
“I'd go as far as saying he could be our player of the season. In every game he's played he's set himself a standard. He's got lots of ability which he demonstrates on the pitch every Saturday.
“He's also got experience with his international appearances; he picked up his 50th cap not so long ago.
“When you get to play international football you often come up against different opponents and styles of football, so you get to see more and pick up more experience.
“He's been a key player for us this season and hopefully with his help we can get the results we need to stay up.”
