During Thursday's pre-match press conference Manager Roy Hodgson revealed that Seol Ki-Hyeon's Fulham career was revitalised during the Club's pre-season tour of Korea.
Impressed by the Korean's attitude and commitment Hodgson has utilised Seol as a striker and the player has rewarded his manager's faith in recent weeks with some impressive performances.
"Since the Korea trip when he took on a lot of responsibility for the Club he seems to have come to terms with his life here and his position," Hodgson explained.
"I think he went back and realised what a big star he is in Korea and how well received he is. When you get a chance to go on and play and it doesn't work out for you and the competition for place is strong you run the risk that you won't get a second chance.
"He seems to have come to terms with that and I'm happy with his attitude and happy with his play. He's worked very hard to prove to me that he has qualities that we can use and in the game against Torino the two goals came from him and he scored against Hull.
"He's worked very hard and physically he's a fantastic specimin and at the moment I'm happy to give him his chance. The competition will of course heat up with Erik Nevland and Andy Johnson."
