The Club can confirm that Coventry midfielder Julian Gray has signed for the Whites on a one-year loan deal.
The versatile 28-year old began his career as a trainee with Arsenal before moving across London to Crystal Palace in 2000.
Gray was instrumental in the Club's promotion in the 2003/04 season and made 144 for the Eagles during his spell at Selhurst Park.
At the end of his contract with Palace Gray enjoyed his first taste of top flight football by signing for Birmingham City in 2004. After playing 36 games for Birmingham Gray signed for Coventry City in the summer of 2004.
Gray will remain with Roy Hodgson's side until the end of the 08/09 campaign.
The Club can also confirm that Alexey Smertin’s contract has been cancelled by mutual consent.
