Fulham will be without several First Team players on Thursday night when they take on CSKA Sofia in the UEFA Europa League at the Cottage, as Roy Hodgson revealed during Wednesday afternoon's pre-match press conference.
“Andrew Johnson, Diomansy Kamara and Dickson Etuhu are the three main protagonists when it comes to injury.
"Uanble to play you have to add Erik Nevland, Jonathan Greening and Paul Konchesky who are suspended.
"Then you have to add from the players we've been using; Eddie Johnson, Seol Ki-Hyeon and Kagisho Dikgacoi. So basically speaking from the usual First Team squad we’re down to about 12 or 13 players and we’ll make up the rest from the Development Squad."
Hodgson will however welcome back striker Bobby Zamora and captain Danny Murphy on Thursday night as Fulham look to shape their own destiny in the UEFA Europa League.
“It was touch and go for Saturday and he [Bobby Zamora] wasn’t 100% fit for that game. We’ve always hoped and expected him to be fit for Thursday’s game and he’s trained twice yesterday and today which has gone well so he’s basically fully fit.
"Danny Murphy will also start the game and play for as long as it’s possible. It would be nice if he could play the 90 minutes but we also have to be realistic as it’s been while since he’s played. It’s good that we’ve got those two players back in harness as it were.
"The first thing he's [Murphy] got to do is get himself back to full match fitness and I don't think we should expect him to come straight in tomorrow night after an absence of five or six weeks and hit the ground running. He needs this game on Thursday night and he needs the match practice.
"I'm interested to see him play and obviously he's looking forward to it. He's mechanically fit and now it's a question of getting back in the saddle.
“We’ve still got two matches left to play and if we won them both we could qualify so that’s what we’ll be trying to do because we certainly haven’t given up hope of qualifying."
