Fulham's clash against Chelsea this coming Monday falls on the two year anniversary of Roy Hodgson's appointment as Manager of Fulham Football Club.
Since the 28th December 2007 Hodgson has guided Fulham from the brink of relegation to the Club's highest ever finish and European football.
It has come as no suprise to see Hodgson win several awards in recent times, including the Barclays Manager of the Month Award for October 2009.
Hodgson is quite rightly receiving the plaudits and awards for what has been a truly remarkable period at the Club and Fulham's Manager is clearly a much admired figure amongst his charges, as goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer explains.
"He's exceptional," said Schwarzer. "One of the best I've worked under. You should see him on the Training Ground, day in day out. He doesn't stand around on the touchline just barking instructions. He takes 95 per cent of the training sessions himself.
"That's exceptional - to see a guy of his level and stature doing that. You reap benefits from it. He has got us playing a certain way that he wants us to play. We play football and at times we've outplayed the so-called better footballing teams.
"That's no coincidence or fluke because we keep producing it and that's down to all the hard work we do on the Training Ground. He's a great guy, he's a fantastic manager and a lot of credit goes to him for why we're performing as well as we are."
