Fulham Football Club welcomed students studying football and industrial heritage from the University of Minnesota last week who had chosen architecture and football as their main topic.
The students were given a tour of Craven Cottage and in particular studied the Club’s famous Johnny Haynes Stand and Cottage before being given a talk about Archibald Leitch by Leitch’s biographer Simon Inglis. Simon Inglis has written several books on football and sporting heritage and has recently published ‘Engineering Archie’.
For further details on Inglis’ work see www.playedinbritain.co.uk | Issue 28 of Fultime, available at the end of February, will feature an interview with Simon Inglis.
