Mark Schwarzer
The big Australian was only beaten three times in the month of December. Schwarzer played a key part in Fulham’s Boxing Day draw at White Hart Lane, when he produced a stunning save to deny Aaron Lennon.
Clint Dempsey
Having won his place back in the team, the American midfielder went about consolidating his place in the starting eleven with a number of impressive displays. Dempsey netted three times in December, recording Fulham's third in the home win over Middlesbrough and then grabbing two goals against Chelsea.
Brede Hangeland
Although he missed the Spurs match due to a bout of flu, Hangeland was back in action 48 hours later for the West London Derby – a match which saw the Whites’ defence tested to the limit by a strong second-half attacking display from Chelsea.
Aaron Hughes
Despite an uncharacteristic mix-up with Mark Schwarzer which led to Chelsea’s opening goal in the West London Derby, Hughes, once again, a solid figure in the Premiership’s fourth tightest defence. His positional sense and anticipation was vital for the Whites.
Danny Murphy
The Fulham Captain was superb in the Whites’ display against Tottenham at White Hart Lane, doing a fine job of keeping possession and maintaining Fulham’s attacking momentum. Murphy also kept his composure from the penalty spot to score in the home win over Middlesbrough.
Jimmy Bullard
Bullard netted two vital goals in December, first scoring the equaliser against Manchester City at Craven Cottage then breaking the deadlock in the encounter with Boro. Unfortunately Bullard missed the second-half against Tottenham after picking up a knock and was subsequently ruled out of the Chelsea match.
