Fulham can announce the signing of young German left-back Christopher Buchtmann from Liverpool FC on an 18 month contract that will see the player at the club until June 2011.
The teenage prospect, who can operate either as a left-back or on the wing, competed for a place in Liverpool’s Reserves, having played a key part in helping Liverpool U18’s reach the F.A Youth Cup final in 2008-09.
The 17 year old was named among UEFA's top 10 stars of the future in May 2009 and, only a year after joining its Academy, Buchtmann won a place at Liverpool’s Melwood First Team training centre. He also played a big part in Germany's European U17 Championship triumph.
Following the addition of Christopher Buchtmann, Fulham has now concluded its signings this transfer window.
