On Saturday afternoon at the Cottage, Fulham Football Club Chairman Mohamed Al Fayed was presented with Fulham’s Award for topping the Barclays Premier League’s Behaviour of the Public Fair Play Table last season.
Fulham supporters accumulated 320 points during the 2009/10 campaign, which were awarded by The Premier League Match Delegates for verbal support in acceptable form and recognition of outstanding play by opponents.
Barry Bright, Vice President of the Football Association presented the £20,000 cheque to Mr Al Fayed at half-time on Saturday. The funds will be used to improve the facilities at the Cottage, directly benefitting the fans.
The Club would like to thank its fans for their exemplary behaviour shown not only throughout last season but since promotion to the Premier League in 2001. Fulham supporters have won this award on four occasions (2010, 2009, 2008 & 2005) and have also been runners up four times.
