David Stockdale will return to Fulham's starting eleven on Saturday against Bolton Wanderers after being recalled from his loan spell at Ipswich Town.
Following the news that Mark Schwarzer will be out of action for the next four to six weeks, Stockdale returned to SW6 and Manager Martin Jol clearly believes the goalkeeper has the talent to perform on the biggest stage.
“We called David back from Ipswich and he’s a very talented guy," said Jol. "For me there’s no doubt that he can do a job for us.
“He played for Fulham last year and did very well. I know Neil Etheridge will be a very good goalkeeper but Stockdale has more experience.
"He played for us last year and was involved the year before. Playing for Ipswich was good for his development and confidence.
“If you look at his talent he’s like the other goalkeepers in the England squad.”
