Fulham Football Club is delighted to confirm that goalkeeper David Stockdale has been selected by Fabio Capello for England's squad to face Denmark in Copenhagen on Wednesday February 9th.
Capello's squad was announced on Saturday evening following Fulham 2-2 draw against Aston Villa.
Stockdale has been oustanding for Fulham this season, performing superbly at the start of the season and during the month of January when Mark Schwarzer was involved in international duty with Australia.
Stockdale has enjoyed many memorable performances this season, not least a penalty save against Manchester United that helped Fulham to a 2-2 draw at the Cottage.
In the month of January Mark Hughes handed the No. 1 jersey to Stockdale in Mark Schwarzer's absence and was richly rewarded for his faith in the young keeper, whose impressive displays have now been rewarded with a call-up to Fabio Capello's England squad.
