Fulham’s Reserves were narrowly defeated by Swansea City on Monday evening after a closely fought encounter, with Swans goalkeeper Gerhard Tremmel playing a key role in securing the win for his side.
The hosts took the lead in the first-half after Craig Beattie applied a calm finish to beat Marcus Bettinelli.
The Whites pressed for an equaliser before the interval with both Rafik Halliche and Cauley Woodrow going close.
Fulham maintained their momentum into the second-half and won a penalty after Tom Donegan was brought down in the Swansea area – unfortunately Tremmel was able guess correctly and kept out Marcello Trotta’s spot kick.
