Fulham's Reserve Team were beaten 3-0 by Aston Villa at Bodymoor Heath on Tuesday afternoon.
Following recent wins over Arsenal and Wolves, Ray Lewington's team had the chance to take Villa's place at the top of the Barclays Premier Reserve League South, but the home team proved just too strong on the day.
Villa took a first half lead seven minutes before the break when Gary Gardner fired home from the edge of the box after receiving Bannan's short free-kick.
Graham Burke doubled Villa's lead after 56 mins before Samir Carruthers made it 3-0 thirteen minutes later.
Lewington's team will look to bounce back on Monday 20th February when they take on West London rivals Chelsea at Cobham Training Ground (KO 2.05pm).
