Manager Martin Jol described Fulham's exit from the FA Cup as "extremely disappointing" on Friday night.
Despite taking the lead on 15 minutes courtesy of a Danny Murphy penalty, Fulham were unable to contain Everton who hit back with two headed goals from Denis Stracqualursi and Marouane Fellaini.
"We're disappointed to concede two goals in the manner that we did," explained Jol. "From two crosses - we know that we are better than that.
"We know their style, we knew that they would do that because they like to put crosses into the box. With the quality that we have we expected more.
"Everton put us under pressure tonight and we found it difficult to play our game. We couldn't play it around them as we would have liked.
"We got off to a good start and of course it is frustrating that we didn't build on that because we had two or three good chances.
"They were missing a few players at the back and we should have exploited that more. But they reacted well to our goal, and then really took the game to us.
"We knew it would be a difficult match, but believed that we could take something. To go out of the Cup is extremely disappointing for us all."
