Fulham Football Club practices a zero tolerance policy towards racism and all forms of racial and homophobic abuse. We ask all supporters to join with us to promote equality in an environment in which all individuals can feel comfortable when watching matches.
So what can you do to help:
1. If you hear racial or homophobic chanting, ie: the repeated uttering of the same words, whether alone or with others (the Police will often require evidence of the same words being repeated three times) or
2. You hear individuals or groups who repeatedly utter racist or homophobic abuse then you
should report it to either:
a) The nearest Steward
b) The nearest Police Officer
c) If neither are near enough and you have a mobile phone then ring or text 07795 826 020 . This line is staffed by Club officials in the stadium Control Room. They will be able to take swift and positive action to review your feedback. Please note this number is only in operation whilst the football match is in progress.
Consideration will be taken by the person to whom you have complained as to what action is appropriate. It could be that:
a) The Steward reports the complaint to a supervisor for his attention
b) The offender’s seat number and location is taken for further observation to be made
c) The offender is given advice or a warning
d) The offender is ejected and / or arrested by Police. This may lead to prosecution and a subsequent stadium ban being issued to the offender by the Club and / or the authorities.
Please note that we must always have good evidence before an ejection, arrest or ban is considered.
Anti-social behaviour has no place in football and all reports of racist and homophobic abuse will be followed up by the Club and / or the Police. Where appropriate investigations will be undertaken, taking into account all available evidence which may include CCTV footage and eyewitness accounts from staff and supporters.
