Racism Within Football

Fulham FC maintains a policy of zero tolerance towards racism of any form. If fans witness any racist behaviour they are asked to report it to the nearest steward, or to call the Club or Kick It Out, if they wish to remain anonymous.

Kick It Out was established in 1993 and works throughout football educational and community sectors to challenge racism and work for a positive change. The following web sites may be useful to your studies;

Much of the anti-racism work the Club happens within the Borough of Lambeth, one of the most culturally diverse communities in Europe. The activities that FFC operate there are based on social inclusion and diversionary schemes for at risk youngsters and the majority of the innovative initiatives are delivered at no cost to participants due to funding from over 20 different support agencies and in conjunction with the Lambeth Football Partnership. Fulham has expanded it’s operation to run football sessions and educational courses to over 30 sites and 22 schools. We have three full time staff, 25 casual coaches and see between 800 -1000 children per week.

For many years Football has been accused of not taking this issue seriously. The launch of campaigns such as Kick It Out, is a signal to the racist elements that there is no place for racism.
