On 7th December 2008, Fulham Football Club played host to its first Bar Mitzvah. Emet Jaffe Pearce is a huge Fulham fan, and has season tickets in the Johnny Haynes Stand with his father Robert.
Emet and his parents enjoyed a private behind the scenes tour of the ground with photos in the dugout, tunnel and on the Cottage balcony. They were then joined by 130 guests for a Champagne reception and a sumptuous meal of Mediterranean inspired food, which Emet's parents worked closely on with the Club chef, a marquee was erected on the Riverside terrace for Emet and his friends to celebrate with balloons and gifts.
A violinist provided musical entertainment whilst a close-up magician kept the younger guests amused with his tricks. During the speeches Emet was surprised by a personal DVD message from his favourite player, Clint Dempsey sending his Congratulations and Best Wishes along with a signed card from the first team.
The night ended with a disco for Emet and his friends along with a chocolate fountain and glow sticks, whilst the adults enjoyed relaxing in the Trophy lounge over dessert.
