Aaron Hughes’ has arguably been Fulham's most consistent performer in recent seasons and a crucial element of the Club's recent Barclays Premier League and Europa Leauge Cup successes.
The Northern Ireland captain, who has earned over 60 caps for his country, plays at the heart of the Whites’ defence alongside Brede Hangeland and his performances are often faultless, impressing all at Craven Cottage with his cool composure and poise on the ball.
On the 4th December 2009 Aaron signed a new deal with the Club which will see the Northern Ireland captain remain at Craven Cottage until the summer of 2013.
Hughes was ever present once again during the 2010/11 campaign, making 41 appearances as Fulham sealed 8th place in the Barclays Premier League and a berth in the UEFA Europa League next season.
At the start of the 2011/12 campaign Aaron made his 400th Barclays Premier League appearance as Fulham drew 0-0 with Aston Villa at the Cottage. Just a few days earlier the Northern Ireland captain scored his first ever international goal in a 4-0 win over the Faroe Islands.
