Adrian Leijer signed a three year deal with Fulham Football Club on August 10th 2007. The centre back joined Fulham from Melbourne Victory for an undisclosed fee.

Prior to his move to Craven Cottage Leijer won the A League and Grand Final with Melbourne victory before collecting the A League Young Player of the Year Award. The defender has been a permanent fixture for Australia at youth level and was invited to train with the Socceroos squad ahead of the 2006 World Cup Finals. Leijer was also selected to represent Australia at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.

During the 2009 January transfer window Leijer joined Norwich City on loan until the end of the 08/09 season. The Australian defender returned to Craven Cottage in May 2009.
