Fulham secured the services of David Stockdale from Darlington on a two-year deal in 2008.
Stockdale came through York City's youth system and made over 40 appearances for Darlington during the 07/08 season. There was much speculation surrounding his future in 2008, linking the keeper with a host of Premier League clubs before he put pen to paper with the Whites.
David gained valuable experience on loan to Leicester City during the second half of the 08/09 season and returned to Craven Cottage in May 2009.
Stockdale was handed his Barclays Premier League debut on Sunday 13th September 2009 against Everton at Craven Cottage. His impressive performance during Fulham's two-one victory over David Moyes' side was rewarded four days later when the keeper was handed his European debut against CSKA Sofia in the Europa League.
Stockdale signed an extension to his contract in December 2009 which will keep him at the Club until the summer of 2013.
He joined Plymouth Argyle on loan on the 22nd January 2010 before returning to the Cottage on the 24th April 2010.
Stockdale really came to the fore at the start of the 10/11 campaign and produced a stunning display against Manchester United at the Cottage, which included a late penalty save, to help earn the Whites a 2-2 draw.
