Diomansy Kamara signed for Fulham during the summer of 2007 from West Bromwich Albion. After a scintillating end to the 07/08 season, Kamara was dealt the cruelest of blows during the summer of 2008 when he suffered a cruciate knee injury whilst on international duty with Senegal.
The striker was firing on all cylinders at the tail end of the 07/08 season, his Fulham career ignited by a stunning display against Manchester City, which included a spectacular last minute winner. Kamara's display against City thrust him to the fore and saved Fulham from the clutches of relegation.
The scorer of exquisite goals, Kamara's electric pace, direct attacking play and high levels of skill provide Fulham with a unique attacking threat. Kamara made a remarkable recovery from his injury at the end of 2008 and returned to First Team action during Fulham's 2-0 win over West Brom in February 2009. On the 14 March Kamara put the seal on Fulham's first Premier League away win of the 08/09 season, a 3-1 win against Bolton Wanderers, scoring with a superb left footed drive after coming on as a late substitute at the Reebok stadium.
On the 9th May 2009 Kamara was handed his first start of the season against Aston Villa at Craven Cottage and the Senegalese striker repaid Manager Roy Hodgson's faith in him by scoring two second half goals, earning Fulham all three points.
Kamara netted his final goal of the season at St James' Park, where he scored the only goal of the game to secure the Whites another three points on the road.
