After continued reports linking Johnson with a host of European clubs in recent years the striker put an end to the speculation by signing three-year deal with Fulham in January 2008.
Johnson was the youngest ever player to sign with MLS in 2001 and developed at a pace with the US team on the international stage. After winning the Golden Shoe at the FIFA World Youth Championships in 2004, Johnson was part of the 2006 FIFA World Cup and has an impressive goal ratio of one in three for the US.
Johnson made six appearances for Fulham during the second half of the 07/08 season. Last term the striker was loaned to Cardiff City.
