Etheridge has made excellent progress since being a regular for the Under 18s and Fulham's Development Squad, taking his place as Fulham's No.2 keeper at the start of the 2011/12 season.
Etheridge is a former England Under 16 ‘keeper who now represents the Philippines, having won his first senior cap against Brunei in the AFC Challenge Cup, where he kept three clean sheets in his first three games.
Despite originally starting his goalkeeping education at SW6 rivals Chelsea, Neil has become an integral part of the Whites’ future, impressing coaching staff with his outstanding kicking and shot-stopping abilities.
In May 2010 Neil signed an extension to his contract, keeping him at Fulham until the summer of 2011. The goalkeeper was selected to represent the Philippine National Team at the AFF Suzuki Cup 2010 (30 Nov - 9 Dec) Final Round Elimination Stage, in Hanoi, Vietnam.
During the month of January 2011 the Club's confidence in the young keeper was highlighted by naming Etheridge as David Stockdale's understudy during Mark Schwarzer's participation in the 2011 Asian Cup.
On the 10th May 2011 Etheridge signed a contract extension with FFC that will see the goalkeeper remain with the Club until at least the summer of 2013.
Etheridge made his Fulham debut in December's UEFA Europa League group match against Odense BK at Craven Cottage.
