As one of the brightest talents in Europe, Israeli youngster Omri Altman has long been tipped to make an impact on the game and signed his first professional contract with Fulham in January 2012.
With his signature sought by some of the continent’s top clubs, it is at Fulham where his precocious invention and gift for the game now lies. His arrival was an unquestionable coup for the Club.
After a difficult start, the 17-year-old has made good progress under Kit Symons and has already become an influential player for the Under-18s – impressing with his skill, ability to beat his marker and in finding the ‘killer’ pass.
Determined and hard-working, he has had a real effect on the games that he has been part of and has already made his Development Squad debut. A player that reads and perceives the game differently to most, Altman holds many of the attributes to suggest that he could enjoy a bright future. The potential is certainly there.
Altman was selected to represent Israel U19s in their International Friendly match against Romania in Bucharest and teamed up with Israel from Sunday 29th April – Wednesday 2nd May.
Altman scored some crucial goals for Kit Symons' U18 team during the final stages of the 2011/12 season and played every minute of Fulham's Premier Academy League Final triumph over Blackburn Rovers at Craven Cottage on May 12.
