Paul Konchesky

Paul Konchesky joined Fulham from West Ham United. The left back has signed a four year deal for an undisclosed fee.

As a youngster Konchesky trained at West Ham’s Academy before joining Charlton Athletic as a trainee in 1997. He became the youngest player to appear in the Addicks first team aged just 16 years and 93 days, although his breakthrough did not materialise until the 2000/01 season.

Konchesky’s spell at The Valley included a brief loan term with Tottenham in 2003 and, having made 169 appearances for Charlton, moved to West Ham in July 2005. The left back enjoyed a succesful first season with the Hammers, reaching The F.A Cup Final and collecting his second full England cap against Argentina.
