Philippe Senderos was the first signing of the summer of 2010 after agreeing a 3-year deal with Fulham.
The Swiss international defender moved across London from Arsenal where he spent seven seasons after joining the Gunners from Swiss side Servette in June 2003.
Born in Geneva, Senderos has been a regular for his national team since his debut in a draw against France in Paris in 2005.
He was part of the Swiss defence that did not concede a goal at the 2006 World Cup and he also played in every minute of Switzerland’s 2008 European Championship. He helped Switzerland reach the 2010 World Cup with an inspiring qualifying campaign which saw him net a brace against Luxembourg.
He has also added Italian football experience to his impressive CV, having spent the 2008-09 season with AC Milan.
In August 2010, following an injury sustained in training, Senderos underwent surgery on his Achilles tendon in Finland. Following a lengthy recovery Senderos made his debut for Fulham in the Team's 3-0 win over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on the 30th April 2011.
Senderos made two further apperances before the end of the 2010/11 campaign, in the Club's impressive 2-0 victory against Birmingham City at St. Andrews and Fulham's 2-2 draw against Arsenal on the final day of the season.
This season Senderos has become an integral member of Fulham's First Team, playing at the heart of Fulham's defence alongside Brede Hangeland.
