At the Club since the age of 10, Stephen Arthurworrey is rapidly making a name for himself at Fulham. In October 2011 Arthurworrey signed his first professional contract with Fulham, keeping him at Craven Cottage until the summer of 2014.
The young defender has made the step up to the Under-18s with limited fuss and maximum determination. So assured, Arthurworrey has impressed onlookers with his natural athleticism and cool composure.
He played an important role as Kit Symons’ Under-18s lifted the Premier Academy League Group A title in 2010/11, and did well too, when fast-tracked to the Development Squad.
Comparisons have already been made to Fulham’s last major defensive breakthrough, Chris Smalling, as Arthurworrey shares many of the England Under-21 international’s qualities, including his effortless sweeping of the ball and ability to recover.
