Tony was a trainee-accountant before turning professional with Liverpool in January 1994. He didn't make any first-team appearances for them but during his time at Anfield had loan-spells with Swindon, Celtic and Aberdeen before joining Millwall in July 1999.
He was ever-present for just over two and a half seasons before losing his place through injury in mid-January 2004, which cost him a chance to play in the F.A. Cup Final against Manchester United.
Initially drafted in on loan, Warner's performances earned him a permanent contract at the Cottage and he was on hand to replace Niemi and Crossley throughout the 05/06 campaign.
