Billy McKinlay joined Fulham in summer 2004 as a full time player and, as the season progressed, he spent time in the Reserves helping the younger players on the pitch and assisting then Manager Paul Nevin from the sidelines.
A former Scottish international, Glasgow-born McKinlay won 29 senior caps for his country and his career has seen him enjoy successful spells at Dundee United, Blackburn Rovers, Bradford City, Preston North End and Leicester City.
A talented and determined coach who successfully instils the values of quality and hard work in the players under his charge, McKinlay is now First Team Coach at Fulham, working alongside Martin Jol and his current backroom team.
In February 2012 was named as Northern Ireland’s Assistant Manager and will team up with manager Michael O’Neill during the international breaks.
