Mark Taylor joined Roy Hodgson’s team in the spring of 2008 as Head of Sports Medicine and Exercise Science following spells with Newcastle United and Bolton Wanderers.
Mark is the most qualified ex-professional football-playing physiotherapist in the Premier League.
Prior to seven highly successful years at the Reebok Stadium, Mark spent four seasons at Blackburn Rovers and worked under Roy Hodgson during the 1997/98 season.
Mark’s Sports Medicine and Science department has achieved unrivalled results in injury prevention in recent years.
Aimed at maximising the playing potential of each individual player, Mark’s scientific and proven approach to fitness and injury will stand Roy Hodgson’s squad in good stead this season.
Prior to his work in Sports Medicine and Exercise Science, Mark enjoyed a 12-year career in the professional game, amassing 325 appearances for Hartlepool, Crewe, Blackpool, Cardiff City and Wrexham.
