Having joined Fulham for last year’s pre-season campaign Steve is now a permanent member of the medical team.
Chiefly responsible for getting the team fit, strong, prepared and injury free for the rigours of the Premiership, Steve’s vast experience in Rugby League and Rugby Union has put him at the forefront of this particular field.
Teams he’s worked with before include the World Cup winning Australian national rugby union side, the Wallabies, for whom he worked between 1998-2000.
Having also worked with a rugby team in France for three seasons and with the London Broncos here, Steve brought much of what he had learned to his first job in football with Fulham.
Exercise bikes on the touchline – a common sight in rugby – were just one radical new fitness and injury prevention technique introduced last term.
The latest technology and sports science techniques are also utilised to ensure that the players are always at the peak of their fitness and wellbeing.
