The supporter in the row in front of me swears continuously throughout the game, what should I do?
Any issues arising during a match should be brought to the attention to the nearest Steward or Steward Supervisor, so this can be logged. The Club will then deal with this directly.
As a Club we take our responsibilities seriously in terms of the health and safety of our fans, and policies and procedures are in place to ensure that these are of paramount importance at all times.
What is the Club's policy regarding away fans in home areas?
Policy – Away Fans in Home Areas
Any person sitting in a home area of the ground, who is identified by their dress as being an away fan, or who is behaving in a provocative manner so as to incite the home fans, will be ejected from the stadium.
It must be stressed that Season Ticket Holders and Members are responsible for the behaviour of those additional people they purchase tickets for, and action will be taken against any supporter found to be abusing their ticket purchasing rights.
Season Ticket Holders providing tickets to away supporters will immediately have their additional ticket purchasing rights taken away pending investigation. Should these rights be restored, any repeat incident will result in the season ticket being cancelled indefinitely.
Members found to give tickets to away supporters will immediately have their memberships suspended, and will be banned from purchasing any future tickets.
The Supporters in front of me has been making racist remarks during a match? What can you do to stop this?
Fulham Football Club practices a zero tolerance policy towards racism and racial abuse and we ask all supporters to join with us to promote racial awareness in an environment which all individuals can feel comfortable.
1. If you hear racial chanting ie: the repeated uttering of words, whether alone or with others (the police will often require evidence of the same words being repeated three times) or
2. You hear individuals or groups who repeatedly utter racist abuse then you should report it either:
a) To the nearest Steward or
b) To the nearest Police Officer or
c) If neither are near enough and you have a mobile phone then ring 07786 126 048.
Please note this number is only operative whilst the Football match is in progress.
Consideration must then be given by the person to whom you have complained, as to what action is appropriate. It could be that:
1. The steward reports the complaint to the supervisor for his attention
2. The offender's seat number and location is taken for further observation to be made
3. The offender is given advice or a warning
4. The offender is ejected and/or arrested by police, which may lead to prosecution and being banned from the Club
Remember, we must have good evidence before the latter is achievable.
In addition the Police and Club have a scheme where stickers can be affixed to seats around areas where racist supporters have been identified. The stickers deal with racist crime and how to report it.
All reports of racist crime will be followed up by the Police and/or Club by the most appropriate method which could extend to lip reading by camera.
