1 min: Spurs got the game underway attacking the Hammersmith end. Kamara set the tone for Saturday's London derby early on with a thunderous challenge on Malbranque on the touchline.

5 min: Berbatov, lying deep, collected the ball in the middle of the park and played a neat one before passing the ball to Keane on Fulham's 18 yard line. Keane’s flick to the far post lacked finesse and Niemi collected with ease.

10 min: Goal Spurs (Kaboul). A corner from Tottenham’s right flank was played to Niemi’s near post. The keeper came to collect but failed to catch cleanly and the ball dropped to Kaboul who made no mistake with the finish from 3 yards.

The Senegalese striker charged forward and unleashed a thunderous challenge on goal. The ball deflected ot the left channel and Bouazza collected before delivering a cross which fizzed along the six yard line. Robinson fumbled but Davis sent his effort over the bar under pressure.

25 min: A Bocanegra header from the half way line reached Kamara in the penalty area. Keane sent a first time controlled volley down the right hand channel. Barbatov sensed the opportunity and sprinted clear of Stefanovic before heading the ball into his path and unleashing a clinical low volley past Niemi from 12 yards to double Spurs lead.

42 min: Goal Fulham (Dempsey). Fulham’s pressure resulted in a corner on the right hand side. Davies sent in an inswinging delivery and Dempsey charged into the box to send an unstoppable header past Robinson from 10 yards. Fulham were back in the game.

43 min: Both keepers needed to be alert before the break. First a contentious offside decision set Spurs free but fortunately Bale’s shot from the 18 yard line was well judged by Niemi who smothered the ball in a central position. Seconds later Kamara beat Spurs offside trap but Robinson raced out of his goal mouth and leapt on the ball at the feet of Kamara.

Second Half Action

46 min: Both sides retained the same line-ups for the second period. Fulham made a strong start but in Spurs first attack of the second half Berbatov sent in a cracking 25 yard volley which Niemi was forced to tip over his crossbar.

Fulham 1 - 3 Tottenham

66 min: Chris Baird’s defensive instincts saved Fulham on the goal-line. Niemi’s punched clearance fell to Berbatov who smashed the ball towards goal from 25 yards. Barid’s last ditch intervention deflected the ball away to safety - superb defending.
