Fulham FC Women

Brief History

In August 2014, the Fulham FC Foundation launched two new Ladies teams with the aim of further developing women and girls’ football at grassroots level. Having partnered with and renaming Westfield Ladies FC, Fulham FC Foundation Ladies began the 2014/15 season in the London & South East Regional Women’s Premier League. Following well attended trials in June and July 2014, a reserve team was also introduced for the 2014/15 season, competing in the Surrey County League.

Fulham FC Foundation has a long history of investing in women and girls’ football, previously running an FA Girls Centre of Excellence and a women & girls programme across the community. The introduction of the new First and Reserve teams were part of the first stage of Fulham FC Foundation’s plan to provide a pathway of high quality opportunities for women and girls to play competitive football at a grass roots level.

In 2017/18 the Ladies Team relocated to Fulham FC Training Ground at Motspur Park, coinciding with the opening of the newly revamped multi-million-pound complex which saw the introduction of a brand-new full-size FIFA approved astro turf pitch which is used by the team for training and home fixtures.

Moving into 2018/19, support from Fulham FC enabled the newly renamed Fulham FC Women’s Team to introduce a number of experiences to support the growth of the team and our wider Female Sporting Pathway which includes Wildcats (5-11yrs), Girls Development Centre (8-16 yrs) and Premier League Girls programme (11-16yrs).

Trails for our FFC Women’s Team are scheduled throughout the year. If you are interested in playing for the team, please contact Steve Jaye at sjaye@fulhamfc.com for trial dates.
