Club Record For Travers

February 1921 Fulham paid a record £3,000 for Barney Travers from Sunderland, but a year later the physical centre-forward was banned for life by the FA after he was alleged to have taken £20 to throw a match against South Shields. He was, however, pardoned by the FA in 1945.

5 November 1921 Frank Osborne (pictured) and Harvey Darvill set a record as the only two debutants to get on the scoresheet - in a 4-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday - in the same game.
