Whites Relegated As Eliot Breaks Record

May 1928 Despite Sid Eliot breaking the club's scoring record after registering 26 goals in 42 appearances, Fulham was relegated from the second division and moved down to the Third Division South for the first time after a 21-year stay.

International Double

October 1928 Despite being in the Third Division, Fulham had two England internationals: Wing-half Len Oliver was part of the side that beat Belgium 5-1 and, in October, his teammate Bert Barrett played in the 3-0 win over Northern Ireland.
