Captain Coleman Plays Last Game

1 January 2001 Chris Coleman, Fulham's leader and captain, played his last game for the Whites. Making 162 appearances in all competitions and scoring 11 goals over a four year period, Coleman was instrumental in turning Fulham's fortunes around. Captaining the side that ran off with the Division Two title was his finest moment in a Fulham shirt.

New Badge: 2001

1 August 2001 To mark the Premiership era Fulham introduces a new badge to be worn on all shirts, the tenth in the Club's history, and a new and modern design that incorporates the Club initials.

Steed Malbranque Joins The Fulham Revolution

August 2001 Jean Tigana used his knowledge of French football to sign Steed Malbranque in a £4.5m deal from Lyon. Known for his wide range of passing and skillful ability on the ball, this was a signing that promised to live up to much.
