First Win Over Manchester United At Craven Cottage In 45 Years
March 2009
A sunny spring afternoon on the Thames was capped by a wonderful Fulham performance as the Whites beat defending Champions Manchester United 2-0. Paul Scholes was sent off for the visitors for handball, and Danny Murphy duly stuck away the proceeding penalty. Then, to round things off in the 87th minute, Zoltan Gera scored with an acrobatic scissor kick to seal a fully deserved win..

On The March To Europe
May 2009
Four wins and a draw from six games meant the dream of playing European football the following season was closer than ever to coming true. Victories over Stoke and Aston Villa at Craven Cottage and another two wins at Manchester City and Newcastle, as well as a draw at Middlesbrough, put Fulham in a commanding position to finish 7th and claim the last European spot. Pictured are Pantsil, Nevland and Kamara celebrating the latter's goal at Newcastle, where Fulham went on to win 1-0..

Fulham Victorious In Snowy Basel
December 2009
A performance and a trip that lives long in the memory. With the Whites knowing only a win in the final Group Stage game would see us progress - while Basel could do so with a draw - a superb performance saw us win 3-2 at St Jakob Park to finish 2nd in Group E and qualify for the Round of 32 knockout stage. Two goals from Bobby Zamora in quick succession saw Fulham go into the break 2-0 and, at 2-1, Zoltan Gera finished off a fantastic passing move to put Fulham out of sight. It proved a very enjoyable early Christmas present to the 1,600 travelling supporters who braved the snow to cheer on the team..

The Black And White Army Travel To Rome As Fulham Fall Agonisingly Short Against AS Roma
November 2009
The tie of the Group Stage saw over 2,500 supporters make the trip to the Italian capital as Fulham took on AS Roma in the historic Stadio Olimpico. The Whites went 1-0 up after Kamara converted a penalty in the 19th minute but controversial refereeing decisions cost us and we were reduced to nine men. Up against it, we eventually slipped to a 2-1 defeat. Although, however dissatisfying the result, it showed how far the Club had come to play in one of the most famous stadiums in the world and come away disappointed we didn't get anything from the game..

European Giants AS Roma Come To Craven Cottage
October 2009
An historic night of football by the Thames as Fulham took on AS Roma in the Europa League. Whilst a draw would have been regarded as a fantastic result beforehand, it was unfortunate that Fulham only came away with a point. A spirited performance saw us lead 1-0 thanks to a first-half header from Brede Hangeland, whilst Mark Schwarzer saved a dubiously awarded second-half penalty which also saw Stephen Kelly sent off. But, in heartbreaking fashion, Roma scored deep into injury time to deny the Whites a famous victory down by the Thames..
