The German defender became the Club’s latest signing this week, so here is everything you need to know about Tim Hoogland...

He became Fulham’s third signing of the summer, joining on a free transfer from Bundesliga side Schalke 04.

The right-back started his career at Schalke 04, before moving to FSV Mainz in 2007. The 29-year-old rejoined his first club in 2010 where he played under Felix Magath.

During his three seasons at FSV Mainz, Hoogland played an  important role in helping the team secure promotion to the Bundesliga.

The player was part of the Schalke 04 side that finished runners-up in the Bundesliga at the end of both the 2005 and 2007 seasons. 

He was also part of the squad that won the DFB Pokal (German Cup) in 2011.

Hoogland made 19 appearances for Schalke 04 last season, and featured twice in the Champions League.

In March 2014, he scored his former team’s only goal in a 3-1 defeat against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium.

At Schalke 04 he wore the no.2 shirt.

He has been capped by Germany at Under-18, Under-19 and Under-21 levels.

On FIFA 14, the player scores 82 for aggression, 80 for jumping, 77 for heading accuracy and 74 for shot power, standing tackle and strength.
