On a relatively quiet transfer deadline for Fulham, the Club announced the signing of Elsad Zverotic from BSC Young Boys. Here, we tell you everything you need to know about our new signing...

Elsad was born on 31st October 1986 and began his professional career as a 17-year-old for FC Bazenheid in Switzerland. He’s currently 26.

His one year at Bazenheid saw Zverotic play up-front and he scored an amazing 25 goals in 30 games during the 2003/04 season.

This led to a host of other clubs being interested in the Montenegrin, and he moved to fellow Swiss club FC Wil 1900 in 2004.

Here, Zverotic played in a much more defensive role, mostly in central midfield, and amassed more than 100 appearances for FC Wil in four years.

He was called up to the Switzerland Under-18 side, but chose to represent Montenegro as a senior international.

He made his full international debut for Montenegro in September 2008 in a game against the Republic of Ireland.

A versatile player who can play along the whole back line and in midfield; he usually takes up the defensive midfield role for the Montenegro national team.

Many of you may remember that he scored against England in a Euro 2012 qualifier at the Podgorica City Stadium in Montenegro. Zverotic’s made the score 2-1 to England before Andrija Delibasic equalised for the hosts in the 90th minute.

Elsad has spent the last two seasons at BSC Young Boys, again in Switzerland, where he scored one goal in 52 appearances.

Zverotic scares his spooky Halloween birthday with rapper Vanilla Ice and former Real Madrid midfielder Guti.
