Ladies off to a flying start

Ipswich Town Ladies 0-13 Fulham Ladies

Gaute Haugenes got his side off to a flying start with a comprehensive victory over a much-improved Ipswich side.

The two clubs met in the FA Cup last season and despite the fact that Fulham won that match 10-0, Sunday's score line only served to underline how much Fulham have developed under Haugenes in relation to their opponents.

Fulham were missing Skipper Marianne Pettersen through a virus, however that did little to prevent the ladies from reaching half-time four goals up.

As the second-half progressed Fulham began to turn the screw with some expansive play as their superior fitness levels began to show through.
