Smith happy

Derby Boss Jim Smith was more than happy after his side came away from Craven Cottage with a hard earned point on Saturday afternoon.

The Rams Manager, who was missing top striker FabFabrizio Ravanelli and goalkeeper Mart Poom said:

"It was an excellent performance today, we told the lads that they owed it to themselves to perform better [than at Portman Road] today and that's what they did. We had a good gameplan and it paid off for us.

"The heat was unbelievable today, and it would have been nice to have had some more experienced players to bring on and help out in the second-half but the lads out there battled away and got a result."

"We've got a two week break now and we hope that most of the injuries will be cleared up by the end of that."
