Fulham once again failed to find the back of the net on Boxing Day, continuing a worrying trend that has seen the Cottagers score just one goal in the last five games.
In stark contrast, they face a Manchester United side on Sunday who have netted 14 times in their last four encounters. On paper, therefore, the prospects aren't good, but there are a number of reasons why the arrival of United should not be feared.
While Fergie's men were perhaps written off a little too soon, there can be no denying that United aren't entirely comfortable away from home. Take their match at Goodison Park.
It took two late goals to ensure they left Liverpool with maximum points, with Everton making United battle until the 78th minute, when Ryan Giggs finally broke the deadlock.
Fulham, however, have the second tightest defence in the Premiership, and with Edwin Van Der Sar in such good form, even Giggs would find it difficult to pass the Dutchman. Fulham are 100/30 to win the game, going one better than their unfortunate defeat at Old Trafford on the opening day of the season.
A £10 bet with Fulham Bet would win you £33!
With the defence so solid, the only concern is up front, but the current goal drought can't last forever. It is only a matter of time before Louis Saha, Luis Boa Morte, Barry Hayles or even the returning Steve Marlet find their range once again to give Fulham the victories that they deserve, and Craven Cottage on Sunday could be the venue for this return to form.
A scorecast on Saha to score the first goal and Fulham to win 1-0 is 33/1, or maybe you fancy Marlet to score on his return and Fulham to win 2-1, priced at 100/1.
A £10 bet on Saha to score first and Fulham to win 1-0 would win you £330
A £10 bet on Marlet to score first and Fulham to win 2-1 would win you £1000
And now for the weekly treble...
Fulham to win 100/30
Chelsea to lose 10/11
QPR to lose 5/2
A £10 bet would win you £279.55
