Fulham successfully managed to outplay Oxford in this entertaining friendly reserve fixture at Motspur Park.

After having a large share of the possession, Fulham took the lead on the 40-minute mark after a Bjarne Goldbaek free-kick could only be pushed out by the Oxford 'keeper for the watching defender to slam home a bizarre own-goal.

Just before the stroke of half-time, Andrejs Stolcers was brought down on the left of the penalty area for the referee to award a spot kick. The Latvian international stepped up and calmly made it 2-0.

Oxford managed the pull one back in the second half on 49 minutes after Fulham lost possession cheaply in their own half. However, any hope of a comeback was ended on 58 minutes when Kevin Betsy fired home to give Fulham a 3-1 lead.

The scoring was rounded off by two goals from Kieran McAnespie, who produced an impressive performance after replacing Eddie Lewis at half-time. Both of McAnespie's goals were well-taken headers.
