Craig Bellamy looks set to make his return for Newcastle next Monday to partner Alan Shearer who'll be in search of his 200th Premiership goal.
The Geordie's impressive Welshman has been sidelined for six weeks with a knee problem.
Toon Boss Bobby Robson said:
"Craig trained on Friday and he looked so well that you wouldn't have thought he's been away for six weeks. He then trained again on Sunday and had a slight stiffness and soreness reaction, so we didn't even think about him for the Villa game. But I would anticipate he has got a big chance for the Fulham game on Monday, along with Gary Speed."
