Fulham res. 7-0 Barnet

Fulham comfortably saw off Barnet in this behind closed doors reserve friendly played at Craven Cottage on Friday afternoon.

Steve Kean fielded a strong side featuring John Collins, Zat Knight as well as Junichi Inamoto, fresh from Wednesday night's Intertoto victory.

The Whites wasted little time in getting the scoring under way and were 2-0 up inside 10 minutes. Andrejs Stolcers fired the first goal home after linking up well with Sava. The lead was doubled only a matter of minutes later when Sava got on the end of an Eddie Lewis cross to nod home.

By the 20-minute mark, Fulham were three up after Sava finished off a penetrative move. Stolcers picked out Goldbaek on the right wing and continued his run to the edge of the box to receive the ball back from the Danish winger. After skipping past his marker, Stolcers passed inside for Sava to finish from close range.

On 42 minutes, Fulham further extended the lead through a delightful John Collins goal. As Fulham upped the pressure, Collins received the ball on the edge of a crowded penalty area. With many of the defenders ahead of him off-balance, Collins skipped through to calmly slide his finish past the 'keeper into the bottom corner of the net.

Facundo Sava completed his hat-trick in the 50th minute after he latched on to Inamoto's diagonal pass and placed his side-footed effort across the face of the 'keeper.

Elvis Hammond replaced the Japanese international shortly after. The substitution moved Stolcers back into midfield, leaving Fulham with Hammond and Sava up front.

The Whites almost made it six on the 70-minute mark after a sweetly struck Eddie Lewis corner found Zat Knight towering above his markers. Unfortunately, the young defender saw his powerful header slam down on to the goal line via the crossbar.

The sixth goal eventually about in untidy fashion in the 79th minute. With Barnet getting caught in possession on the edge of the box, Eddie Lewis seized on the opportunity and played the ball to the back post where both Hammond and Sava were waiting. After a series of ricochets, Hammond blasted the ball in from close range.

Stolcers wrapped up the scoring in the 89th minute as his run was found by an Eddie Lewis through-ball. The Latvian no mistake and clipped the ball past the advancing 'keeper.
