Fulham Football Club has today announced the signing of Cameroon International Pierre Wome on a one year contract.
Born in Douala, Cameroon Pierre Wome signs from Bologna having spent three seasons with the Italian side. His previous clubs include AS Roma, Lucchese and Vicenza.
Despite being only 23 years of age, Wome has already made over 50 appearances for his country and was instrumental in Cameroon's success in this year's African Nations Cup beating Senegal in the final.
He first made his debut for the Indomitable Lions at 16 and during this time, the left- sided defender / midfielder played in four African Nations Cup finals. He won gold medal at the Sydney Olympics in 2000 in which he scored the winning penalty in the final.
The Club still awaits confirmation of a work permit for the player to be eligible to play.
